Gender equality is not a ‘women’s issue’ — it’s a shared concern woven into the fabric of our community, impacting people of all genders due to entrenched stereotypes.
Our dynamic female-led team partnered with the Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing to craft an inclusive identity for Victoria’s second gender equality strategy. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the ongoing movement towards gender equality in the state of Victoria.
The 80+ page strategy and action plan has been structured around life stages, spotlighting gendered gaps in choices and opportunities for women, men, and gender-diverse people at different ages. The document also adopts an intersectional lens, acknowledging the diverse ways people experience discrimination and disadvantage.
A society characterised by gender equality isn’t just beneficial for one gender — it enhances the safety, health, and connectivity of our communities for everyone.
