For 40 years, Conservation Volunteers Australia has worked with volunteers to protect and restore our country’s nature. This well-respected organisation came to us seeking a visual identity to help spread the word about their new app, Nature Blocks.

This project would see us apply our creativity to the ultimate canvas: a Melbourne tram.

We engaged local illustrator Pip Tweed to develop the project’s personality and help bring it to life. The illustrations featured native animals and plants local to the area, allowing the campaign to directly engage with an urban audience along the 109 tram route.

Having been prompted to download the app, people are encouraged to connect with nature where they live by planting some native plants. In this way, the campaign’s vision was to form the foundation of a wildlife restoration project for biodiversity nationwide.
