The Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute is an independent, Australian-based research institute, recognised internationally for its contributions to medical science. With Australia facing an ageing population and rapidly growing rates of chronic disease, its work has never been more important.
That work is detailed each year in impact reports, designed in 2019, 2020 and 2022 by our studio. Design by Nature also provided photography services for these reports, with the images capturing human connections and raw emotions. The placement of these images within the report is about discovery, with half-cut pages revealing the full picture.
In the “Destination Discovery” themed report, the concept was designed in collaboration with the client, using directional signs found in the landscape to speak to the theme.
