Merri Creek: A Ribbon of Nature in Melbourne’s North is a book celebrating 50 years of community collaboration to revive and project one of the city’s most significant waterways – told through images from over 20 photographers.

For thousands of years, the creek was a source of food and culture that sustained the traditional custodians, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people. By 1970, it was in crisis; heavily polluted, a drain and a dumping ground. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated people, the Merri is flourishing once more.

Design by Nature worked hand in hand with the Merri Creek Management Committee to tell this story by bringing this book to life.
