The Karrkad Kanjdji Trust (KKT) is a philanthropic trust established by Traditional Owners of the Warddeken and Djelk Indigenous Protected Areas to support Indigenous-led conservation and safeguard vital ecosystems for future generations.

Designing the Karrkad Kanjdji Trust’s 2024 Annual Report was about more than just presenting a year’s worth of achievements – it was about bringing KKT’s stories, missions, and values to life. Every design choice was purposeful, from the refined earthy colour palette inspired by the landscapes of Central and West Arnhem Land to the rich textures and iconography that add depth and meaning to key storytelling moments.

Sustainability was central to this project, aligning with KKT’s environmental values. The report was printed on ecoStar 100% post-consumer recycled paper, reinforcing their commitment to caring for Country. Through engaging layouts, typography, and infographics, we ensured that the report was informative, accessible and visually compelling.

Photography is central to the storytelling, capturing the people and projects at the heart of KKT’s work. The result is a piece that feels true to KKT – grounded, purposeful, and deeply connected to Country.

“Design by Nature approached our partnership with a great level of understanding of our work. This informed the clarity of their creative direction, as well as their responsiveness to our needs as an organisation. We felt very fortunate to be in Anna and her team’s very capable hands.”
